Measuring For a Mantel
There are so many different ways that fireplaces are built into rooms that any one measuring sheet will not be adequate to describe every fireplace. We have however provided a generic measuring sheet that covers a lot of fireplaces. Be sure to check the dimensions in several areas to allow for irregularities. Most mantels are made to allow for some trimming.

B-height of firebox opening from top of hearth
C-width of facing stone
D-Height of facing stone
E-projection of facing stone from wall
F-length of hearth
G-height of hearth from finished floor
H-distance to interfering object such as window, doorway, bookcase etc.
